Technology Integration Overview:

The use of technology has become integral to our way of life in the 21st century. As an art teacher, I will utilize technology to compliment my teaching practice as well as my students creative process. Technology can be used to strengthen and enhance hands-on creative projects. For example, iPads can be used for drawing, or to demonstrate a technique on a larger screen. It can also be used as a tool for students: they can draw digitally, practice taking photos, create animations, etc. Technology also gives us access to an endless amount of applications and programs. I will incorporate these programs into different class projects, some of which include: video assignments, graphic design and photo editing.

With a good understanding of technology and responsible ways to utilize it, my students will be able to access these tools for their own learning and creative projects. This understanding of technology and how to use it responsibly will serve them in many aspects beyond school: applying for jobs, creating an online portfolio, creative projects, and technological demands that continue to arise in the workplace.
